Our Story
Alison and Glyn moved into the Castle Inn July 2016 and they are always trying to improve what they can offer their customers. In the last few years, the pub/restaurant and three letting bedrooms have been refurbished, updated and decorated so that the building always looks its best.
The building is of traditional stone and dates back to a couple of hundred years. The bar is a traditional wood panelled bar with a cosy open fire, pool table and darts board. The bar is dog friendly, and we welcome all ages from far and wide. Our restaurant area is kept for diners who do want to book a meal in relaxed surroundings with a bit of music and local art.
Alison and Glyn believe “our staff are as important to us as good beer and food”. They believe that the staff are the people that look after their customers and are able to explain the local area to any customer that is interested.
Having a menu that caters for all different types of customers is challenging, but that’s our goal. Our food is made in the pub where possible, if it can be made fresh, it will be. The majority of the food is homemade, for example the Curry and Chilli is all made from scratch. The burgers are homemade using meat from the local butchers and the steaks are always Welsh and local. At The Castle Inn, we pride ourselves on offering traditional pub meals, hearty and good quality ingredients. The food is cooked well, served promptly within a relaxed environment. The Specials Board is where we like to offer something a little different; ranging from Liver and Bacon, Pigeon Pie, Sea Bass with Cockle and Samphire and so much more.
If you want more information please don’t hesitate to contact the team at Castle Inn, or better still, come and say hi when you’re walking past.
“We are looking forward to opening when we can and welcoming our customers back”.

Our Location
The Castle Inn is situated in the heart of Newport which is a beautiful seaside location on the North Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The great thing about Newport is the various beaches you can explore, the small independent shops, galleries, cafes, and the market that takes place every Monday, there’s plenty to do for everyone. The pub is centrally located for all amenities and great for meeting family and friends. The Castle Inn is a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the estuary. The pub is only 13 miles from the popular Preseli Mountaints, with the highest point being 1759ft. From Newport, you have easy access to Mynydd Carningli (one of the 14 peaks), only 22 miles from St Davids (to the South) and only 12 miles to Cardgan (to the North).
